Bring it on home, my favorite live performance ever was this song from Albert hall, jimmy plays the best chops I’ve ever heard in the beginning of the solo

I got my first guitar at 14 and the first riff I learned was black dog cus I was such a page fanatic. Within a couple months I’ll eaten the whole song including the solo. I feel like starting the way I did learned such a weird riff and a even weirder solo really helped me with learning how to solo the way page, Joe Perry and some of the great rock n roll players put together solos. Stairway solo came pretty quick due to already knowing a lot of the same phrasing techniques and note placements. Still to this day it’s my go to jam when I pick up my guitar at now at the age of 31. Page will forever be the best in my mind.

I came across this channel a few days ago and was so impressed by Sped’s teaching style that I decided to give this lesson a try, and I’m so glad I did. I was able to get up to 190 bpm, but hit a little bit of a wall. I started to get frustrated until I realized I was putting an accent on the first note, which at lower speeds wasn’t a big deal, but at higher speeds was enough to throw everything out of whack. Once I eliminated the accent on the note, it fell into place. I will practice this a couple more days and then move onto the 2nd lesson. I will definitely go through every lesson in this entire channel.
